Web threats lead to arrest

A man’s posting to his personal web site and an e-mail sent to a judge have lead to his arrest:

According to a probable-cause affidavit, Stout blamed Eldred for not being able to see his children after a divorce, and he also blamed the judge for a brain aneurysm he suffered.

Stout told police he didn’t intend to hurt anyone - he was just trying to get someone’s attention.

Last week, Stout allegedly sent an e-mail that threatened Eldred to Meg W. Babcock, counsel for the Commission on Judicial Qualifications for Indiana.

The threat stated: “OK, now I’ve had it Š These SOB’s are going down. One at a time or en mass, doesn’t matter to me Š Lyers [sic] kill me once then kick me out of their system. Now I’ve had it.”

More background:

He has two children and says he has not been able to see them for the past few years. He had sought the help of an attorney, who has since died.

Stout told police he was divorced more than a decade ago. For a while after the divorce, he did get to see his children on a schedule, he said.
