Richmond Water Ordinance is a Done Deal
Aquifer ordinance approved is the story today in the Pal-Item. Rich Nicholson, water quality supervisor at the Indiana American Water Company also has a letter expressing gratitude:
This ordinance strives to prevent contamination of our community drinking water supply by guiding business expansion and establishment in the aquifer protection districts through the use of best management practice tools. Ultimately, the responsibility of protecting the invaluable asset of our clean drinking water rests with local citizens and business owners who live, work, play and shop above the aquifer.
