Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico . . .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS), released a study (Nutrient Delivery to the Gulf of Mexico) which links Indiana (and Kentucky) agriculture to “threatening the economic and ecological health of one of the nation’s largest and most productive fisheries.” The study claims to show that corn and soy bean production contribute most of the excess nitrogen causing the “dead zone” in the Gulf. While animal operations contribute the bulk of the excess phosphorus.

Hi guys:
im looking for people interested in designing, building and floating a raft down a good portion of the mississippi river this summer. im hoping it will be 4 people and maybe up to a month long adventure. this is of course flexible im just looking for people interested in something similar.
